How to recover lost photos from Kodak Easyshare Z891

Specification: Kodak Easyshare Z891 has 14 megapixels digital camera with 26x optical zoom lens, CCD sensor, 3 inch LCD monitor. The Kodak Easyshare Z891 digital camera captures photos and pictures of your precious moment, other special occasion and allow to share all those precious moment of your life with share button of digital camera. The digital camera share button lets you tag pictures directly from your camera and allow to upload your photo to You Tube, Facebook, Flickr and Kodak gallery sites as well as email to your friends and family. The camera has 64 MB internal memory and supported expandable SD/SDHC card. The storage capacity of card depend on the size of the card. SD/SDHC card save photos and videos in RAW, JPEG and MPEG format.

“Card not recognized”

Cause:

The above error occur due to the following reasons:
  • SD card is not properly inserted in the card slot of Kodak Easyshare Z891
  • Pulling out SD card during read/write operation
  • Turning off the camera while transferring the data to computer
Resolution:

To resolve the above error message, consider the following steps:
  • Make sure the card is properly inserted in the expansion slot of Kodak Easyshare Z891 digital camera
  • Try to access the memory card in digital camera
  • Access the memory card into computer via card reader.
  • If still unable to access the card, format the memory card and
  • Use appropriate memory card data recovery software.
Formatting the memory card allow you to access the card by installing new file system. It doesn't mean that old data get deleted permanently, only its index entry got deleted. It can be easily recovered with the help of memory card recovery software. But always remember that doesn't overwrite any thing on the memory card. Overwriting reduces the chance of recovery so stop using memory card for further purpose.
